Ghost Hunts
Come to the island for a paranormal Ghost Hunt investigation After Dark! This is an opportunity not to be missed for anyone interested in the paranormal!
After arriving by Ferry Boat from the Plymouth Barbican Landing Stage, Ghost Hunt participants will divide into teams and rotate around a full evening of Ghost Hunting activities on the haunted island. Join the Paranormal Investigation team from Shadow Tor on Drakes Island throughout 2025.
Conducted by Shadow Tor, known for their unique events, Shadow Tor are thrilled to expand their paranormal Ghost Hunts investigations to the public and invite you to share the experience at the unique island setting. Shadow Tor delve into history, folklore and mythology when investigating locations. Well known for their work in both the Paranormal and Heritage fields, regular contributors to TVs shows on both subjects, regular faces on Time Team and create globally released films, interactive haunted experiences and games, all inspired by and featuring real world hauntings and evidence.
For the amazing price of £40.00 you will join a unique, in-depth paranormal night and Ghost Hunt investigation.
- Investigate the islands 15 famous hauntings throughout the Napoleonic and WW2 ruins.
- Explore Unique and Exclusive areas of Drakes Island, usually ‘Out of Bounds’ to visitors.
- Participate in guided team based Paranormal Investigations around the historical ruins.
- Investigate haunted gun casemates chambers, underground munitions stores, Tudor tunnels and the WW2 gun batteries.
- Teams will conduct and set up paranormal experiments, recording results and activity.
- Ghostly History Tour telling spooky tales, myths and legends of Drakes Island.
- Recoup at the Event Hub: set up in the underground Magazine Chambers – Drinks provided – Bring your own snacks / pack-ups
- Hub Screening Unique Films of The Haunted History and Ghost Encounters of Drakes Island.
- Conduct Lone Vigils in the dark passageway chambers, while team mates monitor from a distance.
- Investigation equipment provided, guests are welcome to bring their own. CCTV ‘Ghost Cams’ ( in operation when possible.)
- Complimentary Hot / Cold drinks will be available in the event Hub, set up in the underground Magazine Chambers. Do please bring your own snacks.

Paranormal Tours
Visit the island by day for a historical yet spooky haunted walking Paranormal Tour around the Island. As your guided around the winding tunnels, hidden alcoves and the top of the island, your island guide will tell you some the ghostly tales and haunting stories. Step back in history to uncover the mystery around the famous 15 spirits on Drake’s Island. 2 hours.
Included in the ticket prices are the return ferry transport to the island.

Departing and Return to the Barbican Landing Stage. Check ticket bookings time and arrive early as Ferry Boats cannot wait.
Please ensure you have arranged enough parking to cover your experience on the island and your return!
