Sunday 22nd August 2021 saw Thundercat Racing take place in Plymouth Sound.
Drakes Island were very proud to be the main sponsor of the Plymouth Leg of the event which was organised by Lewis Huddy of Elite Marine Services based in Turnchapel, Plymouth.
The ThunderCat Races are worldwide and sees inflatable catamarans race against each other in races consisting of 6 laps each reaching speeds of up to 65mph… the races are exhilarating and at times heart-stopping with boats flipping easily as their drivers vied to get the pole position.
We look forward to them returning next year!!
