Steve Johnson, founder of Cyber heritage, will provide a talk and tour of the island, from a different perspective, focusing on the Boom Defences and Fortress Plymouth

Philip Photiou, local author and an authority on Plymouth during the Civil War, will be discussing Drake’s Island & the Seaward Defences

Drake’s Island is working closely with it’s partner the National Marine Aquarium in order to protect, preserve and educate all areas of marine life around the island.

The island is home to much wildlife including the protected Little Egrets, bees, butterflies, insects and mammals.

The island is home to history and heritage at every turn. Each step on our guided tours leads you further into the islands heritage and importance within the community.
